A stand-alone PMOD license is tied to a hardware dongle which must remain connected to the USB port of the computer. One concurrent PMOD instance can be started on the computer.
A number of identical licenses are managed by a license server. Arbitrary computers on the network can start PMOD as long as there are unused licenses on the server. Only the license server must have a hardware dongle connected to the USB port.
This is a network license version which includes all constituents for FDA’s 21 CFR part 11 compliant image processing in clinical trials. It covers tight access control, strong data protection, detailed change tracking, sophisticated logging of all activities, and flexible report generation.
The online license version allows extending an existing PMOD infrastructure by a number of web-based PMOD instances. They work for contracted lease periods from any suitable computer on the internet. Existing PMOD sites may employ this licensing scheme to flexibly increase data analysis resources by additional licenses or specialized modules, for instance during peak phases of a project.
