PMOD’s PXMOD tool is complementary to the PKIN tool. It applies similar modeling techniques directly to the signals arising in the individual image pixels. The results are images, namely parametric maps, showing the value of a model parameter in each image pixel. Hereby, quantitative tissue properties are visualized and can easily be compared against information from other sources, such as autoradiography. Furthermore, the quantitative maps can also be statistically analyzed, for example to compare different population groups.
The PXMOD tool is the leading workflow-oriented solution for quantitative parametric mapping, including more than 25 models. The user is guided in a step-by-step fashion through all tasks involved. Once the parametric maps are calculated, PXMOD offers versatile tools for the results inspection.
- Calculation of models in each image pixel
- Models include perfusion, distribution volume, glucose turnover, binding potential, and more
- Joint exploration of time-activity curve and model results
- Reference models without the need for blood sampling
